Multiple reburial at Hua Xien and grave goods at Ban-po in Yang Shao
period burials. The multiple reburials suggests there were very complex
beliefs about rebirth and/or afterlife. Just what these beliefs were can
only be speculated upon but because of the differing types of individuals
in the graves, sometimes they were all persons of the same gender and approximate
age while in others they were of mixed gender and of varying age, suggests
that relationships during their respective life may have also had a role.
