Stylistic Comments:
Simple architectural features with plain niches and large figures is characteristic of Pallava art (Huntington, AOAI, 298). In a typically Pallava manner,the slender figure stands frontally with narrow tapered limbs. As is evident in this detail, despite the lack of sculptural details, Pallava art is fluid and graceful.
