Iconography/Iconology:
Often called a toy, the figure in the cart seems to be cradling two children and may be the object of some ritual. Similar sculptures are used to the present day as offerings to the protective village deities.
Stylistic Comments:
The simple, facile modeling is often characteristic of folk arts throughout village India today.
