So many gifts have been given by grateful devotees to the Goddess Santoshi Ma, prayed to for good luck and good health, that her shrine is beginning to overflow. She has become so popular that a stone temple is being built on the spot to house her image. The construction of many of India's major temples resulted from a similar genesis.
