"Bonnou Mujin" (Inexhaustible desire)

One day the artist bent to a nearby sea to purify himself in the morning. This image of Kannon, the Goddess of Mercy) was created. He had nothing in mind at the time. Unlike the title, it suggests pureness in one's heart. Kannon is the antidote for desire and it is through her compassion that beings are relieved of their own failings.
